Description
PEGASUS was named after the famous horse in Greek mythology and it is one of the largest constellations in the sky. According to the myth, Pegasus was a white winged horse that sprang from Medusa’s neck when Perseus beheaded her. Its brightest star is called Enif, which comes from the Arabic word for “nose”. Pegasus was first catalogued by the astronomer Ptolemy in the 2nd century.
