Description
Aaron Huey, MECHANICAL LEAP 001 (dump truck monster body), 11 second video, 3840 × 2160, 2022. From a series of performances made at the edges of the metaverse(s). Born out of a National Geographic magazine assignment to explore the far edges of virtual worlds that started in 2021, bringing back photographs made with virtual cameras. When I visit edges, I always jump. At one point I started using mechanical assistance and was primarily jumping cars off or between edges/layers. This was mechanical LEAP #001, inside a VRChat world.
