Kara Murat was first published in Günaydin, the highest circulation newspaper of the time, on December 5, 1971, with the headline Kara Murat, the Fedame of Fatih, in black and white.Kara Murat was published on January 30, 1974 in a 16-page magazine format. A total of 23 volumes of novels, 18 of which are original and 5 of which are repetitive, met with their readers. Eight movies have been released in theaters.
