This is the second piece of Love Will Always Tear Us Apart. The first piece was minted on objkt as 1/1. I wanted to mint the second on zeroone as editions and share the rest of the story with zeroone community. Description: Ian Curtis had been dealing with numerous personal and health issues, including epilepsy and severe depression. His marriage to Deborah Woodruff was also facing strain due to his illness and emotional struggles. These personal challenges found their way into the songwriting for "Love Will Tear Us Apart." The song's lyrics reflect the turmoil and emotional pain Curtis was experiencing in his personal life. They express a sense of longing, loss, and the breakdown of a romantic relationship. The repeated refrain, "Love, love will tear us apart again," underscores the idea that despite the love between two people, circumstances and inner struggles can drive them apart. The tragic aspect of the song deepened when Ian Curtis took his own life on May 18, 1980, at the age of 23, just a few months before the release of "Love Will Tear Us Apart." His death added a haunting and somber layer of meaning to the song, making it an epitaph of sorts for his life and struggles. "Love Will Tear Us Apart" went on to become one of Joy Division's most famous and enduring songs, capturing the essence of the band's emotionally charged and introspective music. It remains an iconic track in the post-punk and alternative music genres, not only for its musical significance but also for the tragic context surrounding its creation. ''When routine bites hard and ambitions are low And resentment rides high but emotions won't grow And we're changing our ways, taking different roads Then love, love will tear us apart again Love, love will tear us apart again Why is the bedroom so cold? You've turned away on your side Is my timing that flawed? Our respect runs so dry Yet there's still this appeal that we've kept through our lives But love, love will tear us apart again Love, love will tear us apart again Do you cry out in your sleep, all my failings exposed? There's a taste in my mouth as desperation takes hold Just that something so good, just can't function no more But love, love will tear us apart again Love, love will tear us apart again Then love, love will tear us apart again Love, love will tear us apart again.
